Great grandkids in Phoenix, more on the way!!

We have enjoyed our move from Monument to Lakewood, CO in 2023.  Lakewood has lots of open space, at the base of the mountains, just west of Denver.  Many new friends and neighbors to meet, and family is close by.

NEW BEGINNINGS!!

Meet Trudie Marie Coe.  I'm very happy she agreed to be my wife in 2019.  Together, we have over 100 years married!  We have much in common, great affection, and a lot of fun together.  She is a lovely lady.  We summer at my home in Lakewood Colorado, and winter in Scottsdale, Arizona.  

Below is our gang together, such a blessing they all get along well, everyone happy for us.  We keep Nancy and Jack in our family memories with great affection, they gave us all so much.

And new additions in 2021, David expanded his gang, now 6 kids.  So much fun to have the youngsters in the mix.  

And in 2023, Daniel and Page brought beautiful Emery to the family.  

 In 2020, Finny came to live with Kimberly.  He's just a great dog, smart and oh, so handsome.   He's a great companion.  

Monte and Hilary Hayes Sarneski were married in Breckenridge in 2020.  They have great fun together, very happy for them. They live in Frisco, CO, do a lot of skiing and paragliding.

New Beginnings

I am Edward Lunacek, Ted.

I was born near Minneapolis MN, with an idyllic childhood on a small farm.  I earned a BS Math and Business Administration at the University Wisconsin, an MBA at Minnesota State University, and a Certificate in Finance University California Riverside.  I served in the US Marine Corp from 1963 to 1967, with service in Vietnam.  My work career was in the Micro-electronics Industry in California, North Carolina, Ohio, Colorado, and Arizona.  I retired in 2003.  I have 2 great kids that live in Littleton and Boulder, CO.  My wife of 46 years died suddenly in 2014.  

 Enjoy hiking, skiing, homebuilt aircraft, travel, RVing and camping, time with friends, discussion groups and quiet time at home.  Non smoker, small drinker.  5'8".  Medium build.  Born 1941 Minneapolis MN.  Live currently in Monument Colorado.  

Goodbye Nancy, We will always love you

With great sadness we said goodbye to our beloved wife and mother Nancy in May 2014.  I will always be grateful for all the years you walked beside us and loved us so well, and for our beautiful children.  They are a wonderful legacy and tribute to your life of love.  All of our lives were greatly enriched by your kindness and joy and loving spirit.  You made us all better and stronger, and were always there for us.

We send our gratitude to the family and friends that helped celebrate Nancy's life, and help us endure the early days of the loss.  The outpouring was so appreciated.

Casa Grande home....

This is our winter home in Casa Grande. We move in February '09. Casa Grande is a nice town, we're excited about spending winters there, we'll stay in Monument most of the time. Casa Grande is about 1/2 way between Tucson and Phoenix on I10. It's a nice little town with lots to do.

We moved into our home in Woodmoor in December, 2007. It's an older home with lots of trees. We enjoy living here. There is lots of beautiful snow in the winter, and some nice neighbors

This was a GTBA celebration in 2005. GTBA is Glad to Be Alive, kind of a long story about an incident with my paraglider. Lots of friends and family showed up to help us celebrate.

Our Daughter Kimberly

Kimberly lives in Littleton. She's a great mom to her puppies, likes her job, and loves dancing, walking, scrapbooking, and making jewelry. She lives in a great apartment in Littleton near her work.

Monte's graduation...

Our son Monte graduated from CSU with his PhD in computer Science in '08. Way to go Monte! He's working at UC in Boulder, CO after a post doc at NREL in Golden,  CO

Hurricane Recovery In Mississippi, 2006 & 2007

Mae Smith was out of her home in Biloxi for almost 2 years. Mae's home was almost entirely rebuilt by volunteers. Sadly, people with limited means were last to receive help.

Bob & Dot Ellis from D'Iberville stayed in their home during the storm. The
water rose to 4 feet. They are very resilient, decent people. We've been back to visit twice for Dot's famous apple pie.

Lee and Carolyn Hathorn live in D'Iberville. Wind and water caused major damage to their home in D'Iberville. They have a great sense of humor, and worked very hard to get back in their home. It was fun to help them out.

The KR2 was finsihed and flown in 1983, sold with 280 hours flight time. Wood and fiberglass construction, retractable gear, VW engine

The Avid Flyer was finished in 1991. It has 460 hours flight time. Steel and cloth construction with a water cooled Rotax 583 engine.

The Kolb Firefly is great fun to fly, an ultralight aircraft.  Airborne in about 100 feet, land about the same.  A real rush.

My current project is the Thatcher CX4.  Finished and first flight in 2016, 220 hours.
